I'm Mark, and at the start of 2026 I had something of a breakdown.
For the previous decade I had been forcing myself to continue in a corporate job that never suited me, pretending to be someone I'm not. I then did something quite ill advised when you have two young children in full time nursery - I quit to start up MP Films.
Two things had dawned on me. Firstly, doing a job that's driving you into the ground is really not healthy, and secondly, my boys were going to grow up watching their dad force himself through a miserable career.
That bleak outlook is not something I wanted for them. I wanted to show them that if you work hard, you can have a career in something you truly love, and I can't tell you how much I love filming weddings.
So here I am, taking a massive leap of faith, determined to make it work. Whilst I don't currently have a broad portfolio of work for you to look through, what I can promise is that I will work harder than anyone to provide you with a film you can be thoroughly proud of.

If I can't get the shots I need from the normal running of your wedding day, I shouldn't be filming it in the first place.
Your wedding day goes by at a ridiculous pace so it should be spent with your loved ones. Not with a videographer that's got one eye on shots for their social media.

EXPENSES
At our wedding, hidden costs drove me mad, so the below is exhaustive - you won't ever be charged anything outside of this.
TRAVEL
Fuel will be charged at 25p per mile. To give you a real world example, if your wedding venue was a 50 mile round trip the fuel expense would be £12.50.
Sustenance
It is common place for you to add an additional head to your catering budget for suppliers. However in the majority of instances it is more cost effective for you if I simply sort myself out. As such, for a half-day wedding an additional expense of £10.00 will be charged and for a full-day wedding it will be £18.00 with an additional £10.00 per night for accommodation. If you'd rather add me to your catering, we can adjust this fee accordingly.
Accommodation
This is an absolute last resort. I have family and friends spread across most of the UK meaning the majority of locations are accessible without the need for accommodation. In the unlikely event that accommodation is required I will select a low cost option within 30 minutes drive of the venue.
Faq's
We're concerned that you don't have the biggest portfolio, can you reassure us?
That is a totally valid concern and I'll be totally transparent: I am relatively new to wedding videography. However, what I'm not new to is videography and photography. I was given my first video camera around the age of 10 and I have A-levels in photography and media. These hobbies have been maintained throughout my adult life. I recently made the decision to step away from the corporate world to pursue videography as a career, which with a young family to support means it's kinda important for it to work. So when I tell you I will work harder than anyone to give you a film you will love, you can trust me.
How much is the deposit?
50% of the total fee.
When is the final amount due?
No later than 14 days before the big day. I'll reach out approximately 8 weeks before the day with your balance invoice and to set up a pre-wedding video call to discuss your day.
What time do you arrive?
About an hour earlier than you want me to. Not to be annoying - it gives me time to get set up and shoot some establishing shots before checking in with you at our agreed time.
When will you leave?
Only once I am fully satisfied I have all the shots I need.
